DESTINEAK is an electronic duo from Vancouver, Canada who has released 2 full length albums, 12 singles and 20 music videos. As international performers, they deliver a main room DJ experience combined with virtuosic live performance using a custom hybrid drum/DJ/vocal/PA rig. Vocals are performed by the exotic Christina Sing, an accomplished songwriter and classically trained diva with a huge voice and heart from Vietnam. Bobby James is a veteran punk rock drummer who has played many arena tours opening for the likes of Kid Rock, Scorpions, and Megadeth. Constantly composing, DESTINEAK has collaborated with Grammy nodded Paul Van Dyk, Jenson Vaughan, Brian Howes, and platinum producers DJ Antoine, Ian Carey, and Antillas.
DESTINEAK'S newest 14 song album released on November 23, 2019 is an energy packed journey full of soaring vocals and positive light. ‘Wonder and Lightning’ is a 14 track collection of new unreleased songs, recent singles, acoustic versions, and remixes. The album features one of their most streamed singles 'When You Love Somebody' cowritten by platinum producer Brian Howes.
DESTINEAK’s single ‘Into The Fire’ was released on Feb. 5, 2018 on German label Dance of Toads, featuring a remix by Erick Decks. DESTINEAK's single 'I Feel The Love', was released on Feb. 14, 2016, and is co-produced with OMI's platinum hit ‘Hula Hoop’ producer Matt James. A melodic gem that is guitar laced and uplifting, it has a unifying message of love and light. 'Up So High' is a collaboration with Austrian duo Barnes & Heatcliff, which was released Aug. 5 2014 on Big & Dirty Recordings. On Nov. 11, 2014, 'Losing My Faith' was released Kontor Records and features Swiss duo Flamemakers. DESTINEAK’s single ‘Silenced’ was released April 1, 2014 on Armada/Sony Canada, and features one of dance music's most sought after remixers, DJ Antillas (Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, BT). 'Silenced' charted Top 10 on the Beatport trance charts, and an acoustic video was filmed for it featuring classical composer Trevor Hoffman on piano. DESTINEAK is featured on platinum selling DJ Antoine’s album Sky is the Limit (Houseworks/Kontor) on the track ‘Paralyzed’. DESTINEAK's first single 'Just The Music' earned them Virgin Radio's ‘Best of BC Artist Award’ in August 2010. Their second single' Calling Your Name' was remixed by multi-platinum selling DJ Ian Carey, gaining them heavy rotation on radio stations across Canada (peaking at #36 on Canadian Top 40), and won them ‘CHUM Radio Emerging Artist Award’. 'Calling Your Name' peaked at #6 on the Itunes Electronic Charts, and landed DESTINEAK a licensing deal with Sony Music Canada who distributed the single throughout Canada and the US. The single 'Shine' was released in June of 2011 and is co-produced by Brian Howes (Nickelback, Hedley). 'Shine' was remixed by Stonebridge and Sunloverz and a video was shot for it in Cabo San Lucas, which was partly sponsored by the Mexican Tourism Board.
From conception, DESTINEAK has been a LIVE VOCAL VISUAL DRUM SHOW, and are two time winners of ‘Best Live Performance Group’ at Vancouver’’s Clubvibes Awards. They have had the honour of performing on some of Canada's biggest stages namely The 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies, Montreal Grand Prix, Canada Place for CTV, Juno Fest, Toronto Fashion Week, Canadian Music Week, Toronto and Vancouver Pride, and have also entertained crowds in Germany, the US, and Mexico.
Christina and Bobby are a husband and wife songwriting, production, and video editing team from Vancouver dedicated to creating positive and inspirational art. Their goal is to continue to writing timeless music in hopes of making the world a better place for their son to grow up in.
